Sakshaug gamle kyrkje

Two medieval churches are situated along "The Golden Route". The National Heritage Association in Nord-Trøndelag is the owner.

Situated on the top of a hill, Sakshaug church offers a magnificent view of Inderøy. This church, with it´s interesting historical details, was consecrated in 1184. Marks from the rock cutting process prove a connection with the Nidaros cathedral in Trondheim.
